A large meeting has been held here to consider the conduct of Mr John White, the local member, in connection with the main trunk road. A resolution was passed condemning his action. CiiwslcHUßCH, Wednesday. Clara &i och, convicted at the present Supreme Court sittings of perjury, has been sentenced to eighteen months' imprisonment. Meetings are bi ing held throughout the Province, favouring the levying of a protective duty upon grain.
