As an instance of the inducements held out to immigrants to settle in the United States, we take the following from an advertisement published in a London paper by a railway company in the States: " Wanted, Farmers, Farm Labourers, and any one willing to work. The United States offer Free Homes for all, of 80 or 160 acres of land; climate most healthy and invigorating. This railway Company are owners of nearly 2,000,000 acres of land, and offer the liberal terms of 10 years' credit at 6 percent."
