POST OFFICE SAVINGS' BANK The New Zealand Gazette, of March 25th, publishes the following regulations foi the banks as above newly established at Ch-ist church, Lyttelton, Kaiapoi, Timaru, Akw a Hokitika, Greymouth, Waimate, Westport and Charleston. 1. Interest at the rate of 4 per cent, per annum is given on £2OO and under ; at the rate of 3 per cent, per annum on cuius under £SOO ; and in the same proportion fur any shorter time on every complete £l deposited, provided that no interest be albwtd on more than £SOO. 2. Depositors hi the Post Omce Savings Banks have duvet Government Security f* r the prompt repayment of their money. 3. A depositor in any one of the Post Office Banks can continue his deposits at any other of such Banks, and can withdraw his money at that Post Office Bank which is most convenient to him by giving notice of his removal. 4. The strictest secresy is observed with respect to the names of depositors in Post Office Banks, and the amounts of their deposits. 6. Money may be deposited by or on bihalf of minors. Depositors over seven years of age are treated as persons of full ape, but minors under seven years of age cannot withdraw their deposits until thoy have reached the age of seven. 7.
