The New Zealand Gdiette, of March 26th publishes the following regulations foi the banksas above newly established. at Clui« church, Kaiappi, Tinjaru, Alsiu>» Hokitika, Greymouth, Waimate, Westport and Charleston. ; ' 1. Interest at the rate of 4 per cent. p« annum is given on £ 2OO and under jat the rate of 8 per cent, per annum on tumj under .£560 ; and in the same proportion for any shorter time oh every complete jEI ifc. posited, provided that no interest be albwed on more than £SOO. 2. Depositors in the Post Office Savings Banks have duvet Government Security f<» the prompt repayment of their money. 3. A depositor in any one Of the Post Offlce Banks can continue I his deposit's at any othei of such Banks, and can withdraw his money at that Post Office Bafti which Is moj t convenient to him by giving notice of fib m. moval. ' '"•-'; 4. The strictest secresy is observed With respect to the names of depositors in Port Office Banks, and the amounts of their deposits. 6. Money may be deposited by or on bt. half of minors. Depositors over seven yean of age are treated as persons of full' age, hut minors under seven years of age cannot withdraw their deposits until tbey have reached the age of seven. ?'
