Travers, being a claim for a dishonoured bill amounting to £ISOO and interest has been decided. The bill was drawn in 1863, and endorsed by Travers. The verdict was for the plaintiff for the amount and interest to date, being together £2,537 10s. Dunedin, August 11. The Scott Centenary celebration was successful. At the banquet it was resolved to found a Scott Scholarship in the University. Fifty-four guineas were subscribed in the room for that purpose. Cutten and M'Glashan are candidates for Roslyn. Timaru, August 11. The markets are unaltered, and nothing doing in bre^dstuffs. Napier August 11.
