POST OFFICE SAVINGS' BANK
The Neio ZeiUutid Gazette, of March 25th publishes the following regulations foi banks as above newly established at Christ .church, Lyttelton, Kaiapoi, Timaru, Akraot Hokitika, Grey mouth, Waimate, Westuort and Charleston; 1. Interest at the rate of 4 per cent, pq annum is given on £2OO and under; at the rate of 3 per cent, per annilm on iunij under £SOO ; and in the same proportion foj any shorter time on every 'complete £1 posited, provided that no interest bo allows on more than £SOO. 2. Depositors ia the Post Office Savings Banks have duvet Government Security lot the prompt repayment of their mflney. 3. A depositor in any one of thefost Ofßct Banks can continue hi 3 deposits at any otha of such Banks, and can withdraw his monej at that Post Office Bank which is most convenient to iiirn by giving notice of his » moval. 4. The strictest secresy is observed wit| respect to the names of depositors ia Pojj Office Banks, and the amounts of their deposits. 6. Money may be deposited by or an I*. half of minors. Depositors over seven yean of age are treated as persons of full age, ha minors under seven years of age canuot withdraw their deposits until they hava reachci the age of seven. 7.
