RICH MINES IN UTAH.
The " Salt Lake Herald," of May 24th, has the following items: — Yesterday a gentleman just in from Bingham Canon, reports matters and things lively in that canon. No snow now to hinder parties from working or prospecting, and there are between one and two thousand men so engaged at the present time. The same gentleman shows us a specimen of metal that had been run out in a blacksmith's forge that assayed 320d01s in gold, 22d01s in silver, and 25d01s in copper to the ton. He had also several specimens of galena ore, from ledges just discovered. New discoveries are being made every day. Judge Whedom. received yesterday a sample of milling ore from the Silver Oleud, in the Camp Eloyd district, taken from a shaft twenty feet down, which assayed 377d015. The vein is looking fine and prospects good.
