CHARLESTON.
(FKOSI OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) In the case Murphy v. Pair judgment was given ou Friday last m favour of the defendants. Mr Sbapter applied for leave to appeal, which was disallowed by the bench. The schooner Janet Grey arrived off Charleston on Saturday morning, and was towed in about six p.m. Sue discharged her cargo in splendid condition, although she left Lyttelton on the Bth, having been unable "in consequence of the late bad weather to enl or sooner. She was, however, fortuuate in obtaining quick despatch, as she left again by the Sunday morning's tide. A telegram has been received by Messrs Ching and Henderson, on Friday last, to the effect that the ketch Standard, about which much anxiety has been felt, was forced to run into Toturanui, Blind Bay, after having encountered a portion of the late rough weather, during which she lost her bulwarks and sails.
