POST OFFICE SAVINGS' BANK
The New Zealand Gazette, of March 25th publishes the following regulations foi the banks as above newly established at Chrjit church, Lyttelton, Kaiapoi, Timaru, Akrent Hokitika, GreymoUth, Waimate, Westport and Charleston. 1. Interest at the rate of 4 per cent, pa annum is given on £2OO and under; at the rate of 3 per cent, per annum ori'iunii under £SOO j and in the same proportion for any shorter time on every complete £lde. posited, provided that no interest bo allowed on more than £500,, 2. Depositors in the Post Office Saving Banks have duvet Government Security f, ( the prompt repayment of their money; 3. A depositor in any one of the Post Office Banks can continue his deposits at any other of such Banks, and can withdraw his monej at that Post Office Bank which is most convenient to him by giving notice of his re> moval. 4. The strictest secresy is observed will respect to the names of depositors in Pott Office Banks, and the amounts of their dtposits. 6. Money may be deposited by or on ft] half of minors. Depositors over seven yew of age are treated as persons of full age, bn minors under seven years of age cannot will. draw their deposits until they have reachi the age of seven. 7.
