The Government have informed Mr Reynolds that it is their intention to introduce a Workman's Lien Bill this session.* An important decision has been given by Judge Chapman in the case of Tyson v. Herbert. It decides that in cases of withdrawal of civil actions by plaintiffs, the defendants are entitled to all their costs, notwithstanding that notice of withdrawal has been given previous to hearing. Wanganui, July 17. The Wangaeku Hotel was totally destroyed by fire on Sunday night and a man named Peter Finn burned to death.. The building is insured in the New Zealand Insurance Co. for £4OO, and the stock and furniture in the Victoria Co. for £250. A terrific gale is blowing.
