POST OFFICE SAVINGS' BANK

V The New Zealand Gazette, of March 25th publishes the following regulations foi the banks as above newly established at Ch'ist church, Lyttelton, Kaiapoi, Timaru, Akra.i, Hokitika, Greymouth, Waimate, Westport and Charleston. 1. Interest at the rate of 4 per cent, not annum is given qn £2OO and under ; at the rate of 3 per cent, per annum on tunu under £SOO ; and in the same proportion lot any shorter time on every complete £1 deposited, provided that no interest be albwu) on more than £SOO. 2. Depositors in the Post Office Saving Banks have duvet Government Security ftj the prompt repayment of their money. 3. A depositor in any one of the Post Office Banks can continue his deposits at any other of such Banks, and 'can withdraw his money at that Post Office Bank which is most convenient to him by giving notice of his re. moval. 4. The strictest secresy is observed with respect to the names of depositors in Post Office Banks, and the amounts of their deposits. 6. Aloney may be deposited by or on hi. half of minors. Depositors over seven years of age are treated as persons of full age, bin minors under seven years of age cannot witk. draw their deposits until they have reached the age of seven. 7. Applications to the Chief Office in each District on the business of Post Office Sr. mgs Banks, and the replies sent thereto aie free fron. cnarge or postage.
