POST OFFICE SAVINGS' BANK
The New Zealand Gazette, of March 25t publishes the following regulations foi t | banks as above newly established at Ch'ii church, Lyttelton, Kaiapoi, Timaru, Akrji Hokitika, Greymouth, VVaimate, Westpoi and Charleston. ' 1. Interest at the rate of 4 per cent, p annum is given on £2OO and under; at tl rate of 3 per cent, per annum on tu n under £SOO ; and in the same proportion fi any shorter time on every complete iij posited, provided that no interest be allow, on more than £SOO. 2. Depositors hi the Post Office Savin. Banks have duvet Government Security f the prompt repayment of their money. 3. A depositor In any one of the Post OfE Banks can continue his deposits at any otli of such Banks, and can withdraw his mom at that Post Office Bank which is .most co venient to him by giving notice of his i moval. 4. The strictest secresy is observed wi respect to the names of depositors in Pc Office Banks, and the amounts of their d posits. 6. Money may be deposited by or on t half of minors. Depositors over seven Tea of age are treated as persons of full age, b minors under seven years of age cannot wit draw their deposits until they have reach the age of seven. 7. Applications to the Chief Office in ea District on the business of Post Office Sa ings Banks, and the replies sent thereto a free frou. cnarge or postage.
