Thuesday, May 25. Police v. Lupton.—Furious riding. Defendant pleaded guilty, and was fined 40s and costß.
WARDEN'S COURT. (Before C. Broad, Esq., Warden.) Draper v. Jones.—Mr Shapter appeared for plaintiff, and said that the case had been withdrawn by mutual consent, as Draper had agreed not to interfere with the portion of Jones's dam that was already constructed upon condition that the adjoining ground be granted to him for a dam. Thomas Allen applied for a headrace, which was objected to by Martin Carroll and party. Granted, on condition of being cancelled if interfering with objectors' registered rights. James Shearer and party.— Tailrace. Granted. F. W. Morley.—Tail-race. Objected to by Mr M'Laughlin. Granted, subject to agreement entered into with objector. William Wilson.—Tail-race. Application granted. Thomas Curtain.—Tail-race. Application granted. Daniel Shine and party. —Tail-race. Objected to by Craig and party. Granted upon the conditions that Craig and party's storm water be allowed to flow through it. William Rowe and party. — Two head races. Granted. Alexander M'Mullen.—Special site for machinery. Granted. William Wilson.— Special site for stacking granite. Objected to by Tulip and party granted. F. W Morley.—Site. Granted. Gouch and party.—No appearance. Struck out. John M'Gillicudy, residence area, granted. Murdoch and party. —Dam. Objected to by Foley and party and O'Brien. Granted subject to not interfering with objectors. Thomas Allen and party.—Dam. Objected to by Laundres and party upon the grounds that they claim the dam applied for. Applicants were ordered to file plaint of forfeiture. Thomas Allen and party, double area claim, adjourned. Thomas Curtain and party.—Double area claim. Objected to by Foley and party. Granted, subject to conditions. Ferguson and party. —Application for shoot granted. John O'Shea and party.—Adjourned application for extension of tail race. Objected tojby M'Cartky and party. The application was further adjourned for a week to allow applicant to prove that the tail water would be utilised.
