A three-masted schooner, supposed to be the Rifleman or Dancing Wave, tor one of the southern ports, anchored in the Buller roadstead yesterday, where sho awaits favorable w ather. The p.s. Charles Edward left Nelson on Wednesday, at 4 p.m., arrived off the Buller about 3 p.m. on Saturday, and crossed the bar the same night at eleven o'clock. She ■encountered very rough weathe, and had to shelter at Totaranui and at the Sandspit. At the latter anchorage she remained two days and a half. The Charles Edward sailed at 1 p.m. yesterday for Hokitika, and will leave Westport for Nelson on Thursday. The s.s. Murray arrived at Westport at 10.30 p.m. on Sun lay, and sailed at 1.30 p.m. the following day for southern ports.
