Mock Cream.—A Hibernian dressmaker was giving some ladies a recipe for making mock cream, which she pronounced a very superior substitute for the real article. Iu order to prove her assertion, she told of a grand wedding party where it had been served, and said, " Many took it in preference to the real cream, not knowing the difference." At a recent railway festival the following striking sentiment was given : "Our Mothers—the only faithful tenders who never misplaced a switch.
