POST OFFICE SAVINGS' BANK

The New Zealand Gazette, of March 25th publishes the following regulations foi thj banks as above newly established at Ovist church, Lyttelton, Kaiapoi, Timaru, Akran Hokitika, Greymouth, Waimate, Westport and Charleston. 1. Interest at the rate of 4 per cent. ai annum is given on £2OO and under ; at the rate of 3 per cent, per annum on tm,,, under £SOO ; and in the same proportion for any shorter time on every complete £\ j e . posited, provided that no interest be albwid on more than £SOO. 2. Depositors }a the Post Otfice Savin; !t Banks have direct Government Security f', the prompt repayment of their money. ' 3. A depositor in any one of the Post Office Banks can continue his deposits at any otlw of such Banks, and can withdraw his mono at that Post Office Bank which is most eoiivenient to him by giving notice of his removal. 4. The strictest secresy is observed wiih respect to the names of "depositors in Po,t Office Banks, and the amounts of their dposits. 6. Money may be deposited by or on h,.| half of minors. Depositors over seven yeS§ of age are treated as persons of full age, bffl minors under seven years of age cannot with.! draw their deposits until they have reached' the age of seven. 7.
