Packers' and Miners' Purse of 10 sovs., for all horses regularly employed in packing, or regularly worked in claims or drays on the Nelson South-West Goldfields for three months previous to the races. No entries will be received for any of the races except on the following conditions : That all disputes, claims, and objec tions rising out of tho racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or a majority of them, whose decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of the above programme shall be final. The rules of the Westport Jockey Club strictly adhered to. No person will be allowed to enter or run a horse unless the latter be qualified as the bona fide property of a subscriber of half a guinea to the race fund. The foregoing rule will not affect persons who have horses entered for the Packers' and Miners' Purse or Cheroot Eace. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the Stewards, at the Post Office. Entrance money to be enclosed with the name and age of the horse, name of the owner, and colors of the rider. No jockey allowed to ride except in the colors entered, under a penalty of £1 Is. There must be three entries, or no All entries to be sent in addressed to the Stewards, Westport, on the 22nd May, at 9 p.m. All prizes paid at the Post Office Hotel, on 25th May, at 9 p.m.
