RELIEF FOR FRANCE—ANOTHER APPEAL.

New Yoiik, February 24. The following official appeal has been made by the Committee of Relief for starvation in France: — Placed 011 the United States ship Supply, flour and other provisions received from individual donors. Committee also bought 400 tierces beef and corned meat. The barrels and cases have been branded "The Gift of New York," except 1000 barrels flour and 150 tierces beef, which haye been branded " Gift of San Francisco." Hiese have been purchased with the funds received from that city. The Committee is in receipt of a number of offers of free freight from the West, also storage, cartage, lighterage, stevedore services and elevators, all free. 'I he Committee most earnestly appeals to the people for further contributions of flour and provisions from some of the Western cities, each barrel branded with the name of the city giving it. Let every town and village in this country have its name enrolled on the Committee's books and marked on the packages. Food, seeds or clothing, and spring wheat for seed, greatly needed. The ship Supply will sail next week ; another will be placed at the Committee's disposal next Wednesday. A member of the Committee will go to Europe at his own expense to cooperate with the Committees there to secure the most careful and efficient distribution 'of the funds and supplies contributed here. Let there be no delay in forwarding further contributions for the millions of suffering women and children in the desolated agricultural districts of France.
