A Paris correspondent quotes the following curious menu of a dinner of ceremony given in the year of grace 1870, in the fourth month of the 6iege of Paris. It was communicated by one of the guests, who preserved it as a relic : —Potage : Consomme of horseflesh, with millet seed. Heleeves : Skewer of dog's liver, ala maitre d'hotel; back of a cat, with Mayonnaise souce. Entrees : Shoulder and fillet of a dog, tomato sauce ; jugged cat and mushrooms; dog chops, with green*peas ; salmis of rats, sauce Robert. Roast: A leg of a dog flanked with small rats. Salad, plum pudding, with horse marrow. Dessert, and wines of all growths. The Bishop of Exeter narrowly escaped serious injuries by his surplice taking fire in the vestry of Dunsford Church, near Exeter, the other day.
