POST OFFICE SAVINGS' BANK

The New Zealand Gazette, of March %\\ publishes the following regulations foi th banks as above newly established at dun church, Lyttelton, Kaiapoi, Timaru, Akrun Hokitika, Greymouth, VVaimate, Westpon and Charleston. 1. Interest at the rate of 4 per cent. p ( annum is given on £2OO and under ; at th rate of 3 per cent, per annum on tug under £SOO ; and in the same proportion fo any shorter time on every complete &\% posited, provided that no interest be albwi on more than £SOO. 2. Depositors in the Post Office Saving! Banks have duvet Government Security f," the prompt repayment of their money. 3. A depositor in any one of the Post Offic Banks can continue his deposits at any otlie of such Banks, and can withdraw his mole at that Post Office Bank which is most eon venient to him by giving notice of his re moval. 4. The strictest secresy is observed wiTt respect to the names of depositors in Post Office Banks, and the amounts of their do posirs. 6. Money may be deposited by or on bo half of minors. Depositors over seven year* of age are. created as persons of full age , but Illinois under seven years of age cannot with draw their deposits until they have reached the age of seven. 7.
