POST OFFICE SAVINGS' BANK The New Zealand Gazette, of March 25th publishes the following regulations foi the banks as above newly established at Clrist church, Lyttelton, Kaiapoi, Timaru, Akrarn Ilokitika, Greymouth, Waimate, Westport and Charleston. 1. Interest at the rate of 4 per cent, pn annum is given on £2OO and under ; at the rate of 3 per cent, per annum on funis under £SOO ; and in the same proportion for any shorter time on every complete X 1 deposited, provided that no interest be alljwid on more than £SOO. 2. Depositors the Post Office Saving Banks have duvet Government Security f ir the prompt repayment of their money. 3. A depositor in any one of the Post Office Banks can continue his deposits at any other of such Banks, and can withdraw his money at that Post Office Bank which is most convenient to him by giving notice of his re> moval. 4. The strictest secresv is observed with respect to the names of depositors in Post Office Banks, and the amounts of their deposits. 6. Money may be deposited by or on fc(. half of minors. Depositors over seven rears of age are treated as persons of full age, but minors under seven years of age cannot with*, draw their deposits until they have reached the age of scpen. 7. Applications to the Chief Office in each District on t'ic business of Post Office S:iv. ings Banks, and the replies sent thereto are free fron c.iarge or postage.
