Ik another column a correspondent very forcibly urges the necessity of persons lodging their claims to be placed on the electoral roll. In view of any redistribution of seats in the Assembly, and it being proposed to extend an increased measure of representation to this portion of the Province, the number of voters on the electoral roll would be urged as a suitable basis upon which our claim should be considered. That it is further the duty of every qualified person to place himself in a position that he may exercise the franchise admits of no argument, and as a means of facilitating the task of registration, we annex the following formula, which has been officially published in some of the New Zealand journals : To the Registration Officer of the Electoral District 0f...., __ ■S-i'S •o 3 g g.2,1 T~H Sf§ as &.& 8L o C a O S> O agg v p Pop » n 9 f,' (M Z s-s 3O 2"° i~- p O (0 S" o I [name of Claimant in full] do hereby give you notice that I claim to have my name inserted in the List of Voters for the Electoral District of [name of Electoral District], and I declare that my name, place of i-esidence, and the nature and description of my qualification a?e stated truly in the columns above.
