POST OFFICE SAVINGS' BANK

The New Zealand Gazelle, of March 25tre publishes the following regulations i'oi rite hanks as above newly established at Cli'istchurcli, Lyttelton, Kaiapoi, Tiniaru, Akraoa llokitika, Greymouth, Waimate, Westport and Charleston. 1. Interest at the rate of 4 per cent. p f t annum is given on £2OO anil under; at the rate of 3 per cent, per annum on dims under £SOO ; and in the same proportion for any shorter time on every complete £1 deposited, provided that no interest be alb.vtd on more than £SOO. 2. Depositors in the Post OriWe Savings Banks have duvet Government Security f r the prompt rep.iy.nedt of their money. 3. A depositor in any one of the Post Office Banks can continue his deposits at any other of such Banks, and can withdraw his money at that Post Office Bank which is most coi.venient to him by giving notice of his removal. 4. The strictest secresy is observed with respect to the names -if "depositors in Post Office Banks, and the amounts of their deposits. 6. Money may be deposited by or on b(. half of minors. Depositors over seven yean' of age are treated as persons of full age, but minors under seven years of age cannot with, draw their deposits until they have reached the age of seven. 7. Applications to the Chief Office in each District on Vm business of Post Office Sal nigs Banks, mil the replies sent thereto are free iron ciarge or postage.
