Raugitoto arrived at Hokitika, from Melbourne, at midnight on Tuesday. The mail telegrams were received in Melbourne, via Adelaide, on the moruiug cf Tuesday, the 17th. The Avoca with the mail arrived in Hobson'a Bay at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, the 18th.

Phalzbourg, Montmedy, and Blois have surrendered. Fifteen thousand men of the new Landwehr are arriving from Germany, aud marching to tho scene of operations.

The bombardment of Paris is delayed as famine is beginning to pinch them. Hats, cats, donkeys, and other animals are being eaten, whilst hundreds of waggon loads of provisions
