GENTLEMEN, At the request, and on the strength of representations, made to me by several of the most influential persons in the district, I have determined to offer myself as a candidate for your suffrages at the approaching election. I purpose at an early date, meeting you at the various centres of population, for the purpose of elucidating and giving publicity to those views and principles upon which I base my claim to your support. I am, Gentlemen, Your servant, E. J. O'CONOR. TO THE ELECTORS OE THE ELECTORAL DISTRICT OF THE BULLER. GENTLEMEN, The present General Assembly being at the point of dissolution, I take the earliest opportunity of disclosing my intention to seek your suffrages. As an old resident amongst you, and upon whom, since the year 1867, has heen conferred the honor of representing an important section of you in the Provincial Council, I may fairly test my claim in the coming election for the General Assembly, and, I believe, the unshaken confidence that you have extended to me would justify my coming forward as a candidate. To set forth my views in a notice such as this would be too lengthy, and, perhaps, unrequired, as I shall attend meetings throughout the District at the fitting time, and offer a full statement of my opinions upon all subjects that will necessarily occupy the attention of Parliament, and concerning which your Representative should be fully informed. I have the honor to be, Gentlemen, Yours obediently, GEORGE DONNE. Wesport, December 10,1570. ELECTION NOTICE. ELECTORAL DISTRICT OE BTTLLER.
