, Coleridge.—Mr J. K. Karslake is a candidate, in opposition to Mr Cracroft Wilson. He will support the Government colonization and loan schemes. Christchurcii.—Mr E. Eicbardson will, it is said, offer himself for the seat lately filled by Mr Moorhouße." - Waikouaiti.—Mr Eich, who represented this district in the last session, will not again. -become, a candk. date. Mr Eich was a supporter of Ministers. Hampden.—Mr Shepherd will oppose Mr Houghton for the Lake districts of Otago. '• Inyehcargill. —Mr Calder has consented to stand for this district. Mr Lumsden is spoken of as a second candidate. Mataura.—The friends of Mr Dillon Bell are exerting themselves on that gentleman's behalf. It is said he will be opposed by Mr T. Denniston. Motueka.—Sir David, Monro has received a requisition, signed by more" than 150 electors of the Motueka district, and consents to become a candidate. Mr Parker is also a candidate. Suburbs of Nelson.—ln addition to Messrs .Richardson and Kelling, already in the field, there is a mysterious announcement of another candidate for this district. Cheviot.—The candidates for this district are Mr H. 'A. Ingles, of Kaikoura, and Mr Joseph Ward, of Wairau.
Wairau.—Mr Henry Eedwood, jun., will contest this district with the lute member, Mr Eyes. Pictox.—Captain Kenny's re-elec-tion is to be opposed by Dr. Parker, and M r Donalin.
Gu: y AS"j> Bell.—Mr Brown, and Mr Carrington, Superintendent of Taranaki, will contest this district, Mr J. C. Eichmond having withdrawn.
