Mr Lumsden is spoken of as a second candidate. Mataura.—The friends of Mr Dillon Bell are exerting themselves on that gentleman's behalf. It is said he will be opposed by Mr T. Denniston. Motueka.—Sir David, Monro has received a requisition, signed by more" than 150 electors of the Motueka district, and consents to become a candidate. Mr Parker is also a candidate. Suburbs of Nelson.—ln addition to Messrs .Richardson and Kelling, already in the field, there is a mysterious announcement of another candidate for this district. Cheviot.—The candidates for this district are Mr H. 'A. Ingles, of Kaikoura, and Mr Joseph Ward, of Wairau.

Wairau.—Mr Henry Eedwood, jun., will contest this district with the lute member, Mr Eyes. Pictox.—Captain Kenny's re-elec-tion is to be opposed by Dr. Parker, and M r Donalin.
