No entries will be received for any of the races except on the following conditions: — That all disputes, claims, and objections rising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or a majority of them, whose decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of the above programme shall be final. Theruhs of the Westport Jockey Club strictly adhered to. No person will be allowed to enter or run a horse unless the Matter be qualified as the bona fide property of a subscriber of £1 to the race fund. The foregoing rule will not affect persons who have horses entered for the Packers' and Miners' Purse, Butchers 1 Purse, or Consolation Stakes. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the Stewards, at the Post Office. Entrance money to be enclosed with the name and age of the horse, name of the owner, and colors of the rider. No jockey allowed to ride except in the colors entered, under a penalty of £1 la. There must be three entries, or no All entries to sent in addressed to the Stewards, Westport, on the 23rd December, at 9 p.m. All prizes paid at the Post Office Hotel, on 30th December, at 9 p.m. L N EXPRESS will leave the Westport Times Office, every fortnight, for tnangahua, Lyell, and Matakataki.
