The New Zealand Gazette, of March 25tt Eublishes the following regulations foi tfc anks as above newly established at C hr ß church, Lyttelton, Kaiapoi, Timaru, Akrao Hokitika, Grey mouth, Waimate, Westpof and Charleston. 1. Interest at he rate of 4 per cent, w annum is given on £2OO and under ; at th rate of 3 per cent, per annum on tun under £SOO ; and in the same proportion fq any sh6rter time on every complete £1 d< posited, provided that no intereo iltowl on more than £SOO. 2. Depositors in the Post Omee Saving Banks have duvet Government Security n the prompt repayment of their money. 3. A depositor la any one of thePostOffi| Banks can continue his deposits at any otlu of such Banks, and can withdraw his mone at that Post Office Bank which is most coi venient to him. 4. The strictest secresy is observed wii respect to the names of depositors in Poi Office Banks, and the amounts of their d( possits. 6. Money may be deposited by or on bi half of minors. Depositors over seven yeai of age are treated as persons of full age, bi minors under seven years of age cannot witl draw their deposits until they have reaclu the age of seven. 7. Applications to the Chief Office in eat Province on the business of Post Office Saings Banks, 4nd the replies sent thereto ai free fron. cnarge or postage.
