Wallabi left Westport on Friday evening at six o'clock, and arrived off the Grey the following morning, taking the bar shortly before high water. There was a rather heavy sea running, and it i 3 conjectured that the parting of her wheel-chain might have been the cause of her stranding. We are glad to learn, however, that up to the present she has received no injury; and a telegram received from her agents, Messrs D. Maclean and Co., states that she will be got off in eight days. She is lying on the North Beach, about six hundred yards from tho mouth of the river.

Tho s.s. Murray nrrived at Wcstport, from Hokitika, direct on Sunday evening ;it eight oVloek, discharged 8000 feet of timber, and sailed for Nelson yesterday at 11 a.m. Tho steamer Kennedy was expected to leave Nelson yestenUy evening for W'estport. Among the passengers by tho steamer Murray, fur Kelson, we notice the name of Captain Deare, who leaves the Coast and proceeds to England by tho ship Chal-. ienger, at present discharging in Nelson. The namo of Captain Deare has been long associated with the Greymouth steam-tug Dispatch, which vessel he has very ably commanded for several years past.
