Per Murray, for Nelson—Messrs Taylor, Crosley, Alexander, and 6 in steerage. IMPORTS. Per Murray, from Greymouth—2 hhds ale, Gilmer Bros.; 8 qr-casks ale, Strike; 8 kegs butter, btitt Dros. EXPORTS. Per Murray, for Nelson—l case drapery, Brown. Tho steamer Murray left Greymouth at 3.30 p.m. on the 17th, arriving in Westport the following morning. She sailed on Tuesday at 4 p.m. for Nelson, reaching the latter port yesterday at 11.30 a.m.

The s.s. Wallabi left Wangamii for Westport at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, and was due here yesterday evening. Her passage has been delayed by the strong southerly winds prevailing on Tuesday night and yesterday. The s.s. Kennedy left Nelson for Westport on Tuesday at 12.30 p.m., but had not put in an appearance at sundown yesterday. Operations have been commenced in the Mersey by Mr Maquay, of Messrs Bewloy and Webb's, of Dublin, to raise the steam-tug Brother Jonathan, which is sunk at the southern extremity of the Prince's Htage, Liverpool. There will be four balloons, calculated to lift forty tons each, twenty to lift twenty tons, and twelve to lift ten tons —total, 680 tons. The balloons are supplied by a number of gas generators, and when t'ie latter have been " charged " to the balloons affixed an apparatus is to be lowered to the sunken vessel and fastened to it by an iron bolt, and tho formation of the hydrogen gas in the generator will bo commenced, which will inflate tho balloono and cause them to rise, the vessel rising with them.
