EXPORTS. Per Kennedy, for Hokitika—l box gold, Bank of New Zealand. The s.s. Kennedy arrived at Westport from Nelson on Saturday morning, and sailed the same evening for Hokitika. She is announced to leave for NeUon at ten o'clock this morning. The schooner Rose of Eden, from Lyttelton, laden with produce, arrived off the port yesterday. The p.s. Lyttelton left Westport on Wednesday night for Greymouth, arriving there the following morning. Discharged cargo and sailed for Hokitika the same evening, and crossed the bar late that night. Discharged inward cargo, and took in lading for Greymouth, Brighton, and Westport, and sailed for the northern ports on Friday night. Took in further cargo at Greymouth for Brighton on Saturday, and sailed that night, arriving at Woodpecker Bay about midnight; discharged cargo and sailed for Westport, arriving about 11.30 a.m. on Sunday. She sailed yesterday noon for Nelson, but returned the same night with the Charles Edward in tow.

The p.s. Charles Edward sailed from Wanganui for Westport on Saturday night, with a cargo of cattle consigned to Mr John Seaton. She was met by the p.s. Lyttelton yesterday, and, having met with a break-down of the machinery, she was taken in tow by the latter vessel about eighteen miles off the Buller. The owner and master of the ketch Enterpris-.', imprisoned for sailing without lights, have been released, in consequence of representations made to the Government. A company is being formed at the Fijis to purchase four steamers of about 60 tons, to be employed in collecting produce from the neighboring islands. A Christehurch telegram of Thursday states that the p.s. Sturt, while crossing Kaiapoi bar, broke the connecting crank of her engines, and went ashore on the South Beach, where she now lies full of water. She is insured for £IOOO in the Pacific Insurance Company. James Palmer, formerly master of the ketch Amateur, was found dead in bed on the 21st inst., at Wellington.
