The brigantine Miiy, Captain Cairns, from Melbourne, arrived alongside the wharf on Thursday morning, in tow of the p.s. Lioness. The very favorable condition of the bar and weather on Wednesday were taken advantage of by the master to launch a boat, and enter the river, by which consignees were enabled to obtain advices the night previous to her entering the river. One passenger, Master Grant, landed on Wednesday, and the remainder on Thursday.

The steamer Charles Edward, from Wanganui, and the Kennedy, from Greymouth, arrived at Westport last night. The Edward left Wangnnui on Thursday, at 7 a.m., and was off the Buller yesterday morning, but too late to catch the tide. The s.s. Kennedy Bailed for Nelson about ten o'clock last night. The schooner Three Friends arrived in Charleston on Thursday from Westport, and 6ailed again yesterday for this port. The W. S. Munday has been chartered by Mr Kelly, of Charleston, to proceed to Greymouth and load for that port. She sailed for her destination jesterday. The cutter Standard is at present undergoing repairs at Charleston, which will be completed in a few days, when she will sail for Westport. A schooner, supposed to be the Mavis, consigned to Mr J. Munro, with produce, from Lyttelton, has arrived in the roadstead. We draw the attention of shippers of goods from Dunedin to the notification of the proposed sailing of the steamship "Wainui from Dunedin to this port on Thursday next. " | The s.s. Auckland was to leave Sydney for Fiji, via Auckland, on the 27th ult. The oteamer Yarra, which ao long lay high and dry at the mouth of the Hokitika .River, is now being fitted up as a schooner.
