POST OFFICE SAVINGS' BANK.
The New Zealand Gazette, of March 2! publishes the following regulations foi banks as above newly established at Clr church, Lyttelton, Kaiapoi, Timaru, Akrj Hokitika, Greymouth, Waimate, Westpi and Charleston. * 1. Interest at he rate of 4 per cent, annum is given on £2OO and under ; at | rate of 3 per cent, per annum on m under £SOO ; and in the same proportion any shorter time on every complete £V posited, provided that no interes ili o * on more than £SOO. 2. Depositors in the Post Office Savini Banks have duvet Government Security the prompt repayment of their money. 3. A depositor in any one of the Post OS Banks can continue his deposits at any otl of such Banks, and can withdraw his hiod at that Post Office Bank which is most a venient to him. 4. The strictest secresy is observed wi respect to the names of depositors in p 0 Office Banks, and the amounts of their possits. 6. Money may be deposited by or on 1 half of minors. Depositors over seven yea of age are treated as persons of full age, b minors under seven years of age cannot wit draw their deposits until they have read the age of seven. 7. Applications to the Chief Office in a Province on fte business of Post Office Si ings Banks, and the replies sent thereto i free fron. cnarge or postage.
