POST OFFICE SAVINGS' BANK

The New Zealand Gazette, of March J publishes the following regulations foi banks as above newly established at Cli church, Lyttelton, Kaiapoi, Timaru, Ale Hokitika, Grey mouth, Waimate, West] and Charleston. 1. Interest at he rate of 4 per cent annum is given on £2OO and under ; at rate of 3 per cent, per annum on s under £SOO ; and in the same proportior any shorter time on every complete £1 posited, provided that no interes 4 Jio on more than ±'soo. 2. Depositors m the Post Office Savi Banks have direct Government Security the prompt repayment of their money. 3. A depositor In any one of the Post O Banks can continue his deposits at any o of sueli Banks, and can withdraw his mo at that Post Office Bank which is most c9| venient to him. 4. The strictest secresy is observed \ respect to the names of depositors in ] Office Banks, and the amounts of their possits. 6. Money may be deposited by or on half of minors. Depositors over seven y« of age are treated as persons of full age, minors under seven years of age cannot w draw their deposits until they have reac the age of seven. 7.
