The s.s. Kenned}' left Nelson on Saturday, and arrived at Westport at 4 p.m. on Sunday. She was announced to sail for Hokitika yesterday evening, but postponed her departure in consequence of the unfavorable weather. ' She will leave Westport for Nelson on Thursday next. The s.s. Murray arrived at Westport yesterday morning, having left Nelson on Saturday for Motueka and West Coast ports. She ■will leave for Greymouth this morning, and ■will return to port, weather permitting, on Thursday morning, when she leaves for Nelson, at 9 a.m. The p.s. Lyttelton left Westport on Saturday for Hokitika, arriving at that port on Sunday. The cutter Satellite was towed across the bar by the steamer Lyttelton on Saturday She is despatched to West VVanganui for a cargo of coal, and was seen off that port by the steamer Kennedy on Sunday last. The p.s. Charles Edward was to leave Nelson on Saturday for Wanganui for a cargo of cattle, which she would bring on to the Coast. She has been chartered by Messrs Freeth and Greig, as also the steamer Lyttelton for two trips from the same port. There are two vessels laid on for this port at Melbourne, the Mary, consigned to Messrs Spence Bros, and Co., and the I O to Messrs Bailie and Humphrey. The steamer Rangatira has been sold by the liquidators of the N.Z.S.N. Company to parties in Wellington. A telegram has been received by the Government, from the Harbor Master at the Bluff, stating that H.M.S. Blanche has returned from the Auckland Islands, and, after thoroughly searching them, had found no trace of castaways from the missing ship Motoaka, or other vessels. The Daphne had also arrived at the Bluff, without discovering any traces of the missing boat. There are at present four men-of-war steamers at Wellington. The Galatea and Clio are expected to arrive in a few days, •which will make six war ships at anchor there.
