Storm Bird will leave West port on Thursday next for Nelson, Wanganui, and Wellington. The s.s. Kennedy arrived from Greymouth early yesterday morning, and sailed on the afternoon tide for Nelson. The cut f er Charlotte, from Kaiapoi, arrived at Westport on Thursday, with about fifty tons of produce, consigned to Messrs Bailie and Humphrey. The above vessel has had a protracted passage to this port in consequence of unfavorable weather, which necessitated her putting into Nelson. She landed her cargo in good condition. The Mary Jane, schooner, from Charleston, •was towed in by the steamer Murray on Thursday. The s.s. Murray was to leave early this morning for Greymouth. The Grey Argus reports unfavorably of the state of the entrance to the Grey River : " The trade of the port has been carried on during the last two days, although the larger vessels in the roadstead have not been brought in. The bar is rapidly improving. There is plenty of water in the channel for the Magnet to come in, but still from there being a sort of small sandbank in the middle of the channel, it is dangerous work towing in heavy bottoms, as they would most likely be dragged right on to it. The brig Magnet, from Melbourne, and the schooner Canterbury, from Lyttelton, are at anchor in the roadstead." BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH. ARRIVALS. Bi/ctf.—July 21—Phoebe, from Dunedin. July 22—Omeo, from Melbourne. Nelson.—July 22 Storm Bird, from Westport. Greymouth.—July 22—Claud Hamilton, from Nelson.
