SUSPENSION OF MR JUSTICE CLARKE.

(BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH.) (from our own correspondent.) Wellington, Wednesday. Judge Clarke lias been suspended. The matter will be brought before the House. A feeling prevails that some undue influence has been at work. Mr Dudley Ward, a strong supporter of the Fox Ministry,is regarded as his probable successor. The Debate on the Government scheme is likely to be coucluded tonight, when Mr Vogel is expected to occupy the House for four hours in reply. No motion adverse to the Government policy has been yet moved, and the principles of the policy, though not its details are likely to be confirmed by a considerable majority. Charleston, V ednesday. Shanahan, Costello, Brenan, and Welsh, charged with assaulting the police, were brought up this morning and remanded.
