Kennedy, Captain Whitwell, left Nelson for West Coast ports on Sunday last, and arrived at Westport on Monday, the passage having been prolonged a few hours in consequence of head winds and rough weather. She left for Hokitika on Tuesday about midnight, and will call at Greymouth on her return trip northward. She is announced to leave Westport for Nelson to-morrow, at 2 p.m.

The ketches Satellite and Standard left Westport on Friday and arrived at their destination, Charleston, on Tuesday. The ketch Constant also left this port on Friday for

port, and some anxiety is felt respecting her. During the severe weather experienced on Saturday and Sunday last, the vessel has probably been driven to the southward, and her delayed appearance up to the present may be readily accounted for. The p.s. Sturt has been purchased by Belcher and Fairweather, of Kaiapoi, Canterbury, and is intended to run between Kaiapoi and Lyttelton. Captain Calder, of the steamship Omeo, has informed Mr Andrews, Collector of Customs at Greymouth, that he, during moderate weather, distinctly saw the new revolving light, which is placed on Cape Farewell, at a distance of twenty miles. The light will be of great service to vessels sailing or steaming past the course of it.
