MINERS' LEAGUE.
( To tlie Editor of tlie Wesfport Times.) Sib, —The following having reference to a public meeting which was to have taken place on the night of the 23rd., in connection with the Miners' League, occurs in the Charleston Herald of to-day's issue : "The meeting of the Charleston branch of the Miners' League, announced to have been held on Saturday evening last lapsed, some five or six miners only having put in an appearance." Such however was not the fact; there were seventy or eighty in the room at the time I announced the adjournment of the meeting to next Saturday evening, in consequence of certain documents which I expected not arriving in time from Westport, and even then the time for which the meeting was called had not arrived, furthermore I may state that the town was full of miners—in for no other purpose than that of attending the meeting. I am, sir, Aidejt Doyle, Hon. Sec, Miners' League. Charleston, April 27.
