DISCOVERY OF A NEW REEF AT WANGAPEKA.
PROSPECTING CLAIM APPLIED FOR. (BY ELECTBIG TELEGRAPH.) (from our own correspondent.) Nelson, Wednesday, 4 p.m. Prospectors made application on Monday for a new reef at Waugapeka, distant a mile from Culliford's. The reef excels Culliford's in richness, and has caused much excitement at the township. The prospectors have been watched and shepherded all night by parties of miners. Trustworthy reports speak of Culliford's reef as turning out very rich. Mr Sevvell sails for Wellington, per Tararua to-day.
