ALTERATION OF TELEGRAPH CHARGES. is hereby given that on and after the Ist APRIL, IS7O, the following uniform rate of charges for Telegrams transmitted on the lines of the New Zealand Telegraph will come into operation : ObDIKAET TeLEGBAMS. From any station to any station, for the first ten words (one shilling) Is. For every additional five words or fraction of five words (sixpence) 6d. Peess Telegrams. From any station to any Station, for the first ten words (sixpence) 6d. For every additional fifteen words or fraction of fifteen words (sixpence) 6d. No charge will be made for signature, but it must in all cases be the usual signature of the person sending. By order of the Telegraph Commissioner. C. LEMON, General Manager. NOTICE. r | <HE Public are hereby informed that the following changes in the telegraphing and posting of shipping telegrams will come into force on and after the Ist April, 1870. The arrivals of sailing vessels will not be reported. Inter-Provincial steamers will only be reported to the port for which they are immediately bound, and (on arrival) to the port from which they have immediately come.
