TO CORRESPONDENTS.
Letters and " locals " have to be sacrificed without compunction for a few days at this particular season, when there is a sadly needed increase of demand upon the advertising columns of the paper. To correspondents and readers we can only offer a consolation which is likely to be more appreciated by them than by the proprietors—the intrusion upon our reading space will only be very temporary.
