A GERMAN COMPLAINT FROM GERMAN TERRACE.

(To the Editor of the Westport Times.) Sir, —Could you tell me the reason what for we have never had a road up to the Germain terrace ? The Nelson Government does put tracks to every place we does not want it, and what for not make it up here we eannot tell. We do pay taxes, you call it, as well as somebody else, and we get nodings for the taxes. We can walk up as far as the Caledonian, and when we must go farther we must plunge through the mud like one pack horse and break my neck after dark. What for the Government does not spend some money on one, when can a man walk homo without spoiling my best clothes ? We have got one new rush on the terrace and we have got very much gold for two years. We as good subjects as any other man, and we must want a road what would cost not more than 1 or 200 pounds. Did we never pay taxes we could make a road for not half so much money without the Government. If you, Sir, would just write one bit mit your good pen the the Government would not be ashamed for himself to take money without making one pack tracks so little distance. Suppose you write my letter on your paper when you find room for him you very much oblige yours, &c, &ERMANICIJS. Germain Terrace, Sep. 4.
