Mr Macandrew's steam resolutions have been carried. Napier, Aug. 25. A letter from Manuwhere to Mr Searancke, demanding the return of men and arms lately arrested at Ngaruaruhia, is published, and lias caused great sensation. It is considered to read like a threat. This may be at the bottom of the military movements here. On the 19th, 5000 ounces of gold were received from the Thames. Pollen street, Thames, was rushed, boys having found gold there.
