August 17—Wanganui, s.s., for Wellington, Wanganui, and Auckland. PASSENGER LIST. Per Wanganui, fur WelHngton, &c.—Mrs Berry, Mrs Turner and daughter, Messrs Brown, J. Seaton, and V. Seatou. The s.s. Murray left Nelson on Tuesday afternoon, and arrived in the river yesday evening's tide. She encountered extremely bad weather, but appears to have suffered little from it. She sails for Greymouth this evening. The schooners Excelsior and Jane are still outside the Cliarleston bar, waiting a favorable opportunity to enter the Charleston harbor. The barque Nightingale has been taking in ballast for the past two days, and is now re.-.dy for sea. The Charles Edward is expected to-day, although she has not been telegraphed. This, however, is so vei-y common with the port of Nelson, that we can never place any reliance on the wires as a medium of information regarding the departure of the boats from that harbor. {BY ELEOTRIO TELEGRAPH.)
