REBEL NATIVES SUPPLIED WITH POWDER.

THE MAORI PRISONERS SENT TO AUCKLAND. NEW RUSH TO COROMANDEL. (BJ ELECTRIC! TELEGRAPH.) (Erom the N'elson Colonist.) Wellingtons August 2. The Governor has received letters this day from General Chute ordering the IStii Regiment to leave Wanganui immediately, and einhark at Auckland soon afterwards. According to the latest Auckland telegrams, Te Kooti had gone to Taupo. The Waikato settlers are somewhat reassured. There appears to have been a rupture between him and tie King. Rewi is reported to have gone with Te Kooti, but it is doubtful whether this is true. Four Natives were taken with ammunition at Ngaruawhaia, not at Auckland. They are three men and one woman, belonging to the King party. They had four double-barrelled guns, ten boxes of caps, and twentyfour pounds of powder; sufficient for 7GSO (?) charges. They state that they purchased the powder at Onehunga, and two tins of caps at Remuera. The parties who sold the ammunition are known. The Maori prisoners are remanded to Auckland for trial. Rich gold has been struck at Coromandel, and a rush has set in to that place. Another rich leader has been struck in the Long Drive claim, at the Thames Diggings. All gold-mining Auckland shares are reported rising, and speculation is excitingly active.
