Westpoet Times Office, Friday Evening. Wc have very little animation to report in business during the week. Every one is complaining of dull times. stocks being light, price; are well maintained. The stocks of Adelaide flour are very short,. and the supply per Nightingale, now in the roadstead, being light, prices are firm at last quotations. Interprovihcial has been quoted at £ls 10s. Oats are firm at -Is Gd. Nelson chaff may be quoted at from £l<l to £ls. Potatoes are scarce ; we quote Nelson at £O, in trade parcels. The supply of kerosene is getting short, and holders are selling at 4s Gd. Condensed milk is in demand, and stocks light ; recent advices from Melbourne report a scarcity there and little under way to this place. Prices have advanced. We hear of sales being effected at 17s, which may be quoted as the ruling price for trade parct Is. In oilmen's stores there is little alteration to note. Candles are a little easier, and sales of Brandon's and Do Koubaix have been made at Is Okl. Colonial cheese are in demand at last quotations, but. holders refuse to sell under lOd to lid, and further advances may be expected, as recent advices from producing ports report a scarcity and advance in prices. English hams and bacon are scarce, and Colonial is nowtaking their place; prime samples of the latter fetching 9d and Is. The cargo of produce ex Wanganui, from Wanganui, was ofi'ereel by auction on Monday, but few sales were effected—the bids not coming up to the importer's limit.
