EXPORTS. Per Waipara, lur Greymouth—l9 pigs, Freeth and Greig. The steamer Waipara, which arrived in port on Wednesday night, sailed on the following day for Charleston and Greymouth, and she was again to leave Greymouth last night for Westport. She. is advertised to sail to-day for the scene of the new rush in the neighborhood of Wanganui Inlet. The steamer Lvttelton, which arrived from Greymouth on Thursday, took on board the passengers by the barque Nightingale, at the time lying in this roadstead, and brought them over the bar. Ye-terday the Nightingale, in consequence of the threatening aspect of the weather, stood out to sea. The s.s. Murray arrived and sailed on Thursday. On her return she will be despatched for Wanganui Inlet. The steamer Charles Edward has returned to Nelson from Sydney, and will, no doubt, immediately resume her trade to the West Coast. The steamship Alhambra passed Westport yesterday morning on her way to Nelson from Gieymouth, where she arrived on Thursday. The Borough Council and inhabitants of Hokitika have resolved to take some active steps to improve the entrance to the port, and tenders for the work of forming a new channel have been called for.
