In the House of Eepresentative, the Bills of Sale and Mortgages of Stock Eegistration Bill Amendment Bill was thrown out on the second reading by 50 to_ 8, as it was generally felt that the existing Bill gave every convenience for search, and the newone would individualise the power of prying into other people's affairs out of idle curiosity.
