The reports by which the space of our present number is principally occupied may be characterised more by length than by lively interest, but it is necessary that they should be published, even at the risk of offending the reader who has a preference for casualties, crimes, and facetiae Of the annual report of the Hospital Committee, perhaps the most suggestive and instructive portion is the analysis of subscriptions and the number of patients received from the different districts. It " points a moral" which, we are sure, our friends in the Caledonian and Upper Euller districts will not be slow io appreciate.
